Toronto Municipal Land Transfer Tax
Properties in the City of Toronto are subject to an additional municipal LTT using the same bracket structure, effectively doubling the tax.
First-Time Home Buyer Rebates
Ontario rebate: up to $4,000 (full rebate for homes under ~$368,000; partial rebate above that).
Toronto rebate: up to $4,475 on the municipal portion.
Eligibility: Canadian citizen or permanent resident, never owned a home anywhere in the world, property must be your principal residence.
